Minister Xhuveli praised the work of the students, stressing the importance of delivering environmental friendly messages through art. He also reaffirmed the commitment of the Government of Albania to raise environmental standards in line with those of the European Union.Mr. Shimomura said that UNDP was fully engaged in assessing and rehabilitating environmental hotspots in Albania. He also commented on the important role played by artists in conveying messages within society, noting that "many times through the course of history artists have pioneered social change."Vice Ambassador Mrs. Stoios-Braken thanked the students for their participation in the event and stressed the valuable role they had played in fostering public awareness of environmental protection and regeneration in Albania.
