Government of Albania and UNDP launch projects to tackle environmental hotspots in Albania PDF
  

Representatives from the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Water Administration, local authorities and UNDP officially launched two projects on 28 April to tackle environmental hotspots. Representatives of the National Agency for Environment and Forestry and the Public Health Institute were also present, as major partners during the clean up process.  A study needs to be conducted on the exact nature of the chemicals at the Bajza railway, as well as the extent of the damage to the local population and the environment, said Mr. Lirim Selfo, hotspots project manager.
